5-Day Classic Masai Mara – Nakuru – Naivasha Safari Tour

You’ll be picked from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.

You will be picked up from the airport or Hotel. Thereafter and drive via Narok town to Maasai Mara National Reserve, the land of the Maasai tribe.
The proud young Maasai warrior-nomads with their plaited hair, red cloaks, and spears, challenge your curiosity. The 700-square-mile Game Reserve is the Africa of your dreams, complete with wild animals grazing amid the superb rolling landscape of gentle hills and acacia woodlands. Check in to your camp. 12.30 pm lunch at the campsite.
There will be time to settle in before your first game drive. 4.00 pm Afternoon game drive in the reserve. Return to the lodge before dark. 7.30 pm Dinner in the and overnight at Mara keekorok lodge or similar.

Full days spent exploring the park in search of the big 5 trailing the wildebeest migration herds and predators – Optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost. Overnight at Mara Keekorok Lodge or similar
The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes, and elephant.
While at the Mara river, you will get the opportunity to ditch the vehicle and experience a walking safari with an armed ranger.
It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena, and vultures.

Early morning sunrise breakfast game viewing in the park to increase your chances to view the sunrise within the Mara and to view the lionesses and their cubs having breakfast as a family after a night hunting.
Return to the camp for breakfast and final preparation for Nakuru national park. Lunch will be served on the way to Nakuru, the journey shall continue to Nakuru only to arrive in the evening around 16:00 hrs.
Where I would recommend relaxation within the selected accommodation as you prepare for a 4 to 5 hrs game viewing in Lake Nakuru national park in this park as you are right inside the park.

After your breakfast, you will have a morning game viewing session in lake Nakuru national park to view flamingoes that are famous in the park apart from black and white rhinos and other water birds like pelicans plains game like the cape buffalo giraffe and baboons set off for hell’s gate national park (Naivasha) after lunch.
The drive from Lake Nakuru to Naivasha park is shorter, approximately an hour’s drive.
Afternoon at relaxation or visit Hells gate National Reserve, the only reserve in Kenya where you can enjoy game viewing while on a Bicycle (cycling safaris), as well as walking safari experience in the park between the wildlife (grass-eating animals.
If time allows and you are interested, take part in activities such as boat ride (boat trip) in this freshwater lake, viewing hippos to the crescent island. It will grant you a chance to view the aquatic life such as hippos and other bird species that have been recorded in this natural habitat. Dinner & overnight at the lodge.

After breakfast have a nature walk in the Hell’s Gate National Park (that is if on day 4 you did not visit the hell’s gate National park).
Otherwise, there are optional activities like horse ride if you are a fan, there are over 100 species of birds in the park, including vultures, Verreaux’s Eagles, Augur Buzzard, and Swifts. African Buffalo, Zebra, Eland, Hartebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, and baboons are also common.
The park is also home to Klipspringer Antelope and Chanler’s Mountain Reedbuck–enjoy hot or picnic lunches and later drive back to Nairobi arriving in the afternoon. Drop back to Nairobi hotel or Airport for your next destination.
